How to prepare

  1. Come in with clean skin and no makeup on the area.
  2. Stop any AHAs or BHAs (retinol, Retin-A, tretinoin, glycolic or salicylic acids) a week before. They thin the skin and can cause tearing or bruising.
  3. If you are a current user of Accutane you will not be able to wax. Tell us if you have used it in the last six months.
  4. 24 hours before, gently exfoliate the area and moisturize after.
  5. Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of, and skip caffeine the day of.
  6. No sun exposure or tanning for 48 hours before.

After

Aftercare

  1. No makeup, sweat or sun on the area for 24 hours.
  2. Skip actives and exfoliants for 48 hours.
  3. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
  4. Wear SPF once the 24 hours are up. Freshly waxed skin burns easily.
  5. Rebook every three to four weeks.
