Hard wax is made for the face. It sets on the hair, not the skin, so it lifts even fine hair cleanly without the redness or lifting you get from strip wax. Every facial wax at Pink Crab is done with hard wax and finished with a calming serum.
Book a single area or the full face. Brows are their own service, so add a shaping if you want everything done in one visit.

Before
How to prepare
- Come in with clean skin and no makeup on the area.
- Stop any AHAs or BHAs (retinol, Retin-A, tretinoin, glycolic or salicylic acids) a week before. They thin the skin and can cause tearing or bruising.
- If you are a current user of Accutane you will not be able to wax. Tell us if you have used it in the last six months.
- 24 hours before, gently exfoliate the area and moisturize after.
- Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of, and skip caffeine the day of.
- No sun exposure or tanning for 48 hours before.
After
Aftercare
- No makeup, sweat or sun on the area for 24 hours.
- Skip actives and exfoliants for 48 hours.
- Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
- Wear SPF once the 24 hours are up. Freshly waxed skin burns easily.
- Rebook every three to four weeks.
